SEADRIF protects people living and working in Southeast Asian countries, and contributes to ongoing economic development and poverty reduction by supporting pre-disaster planning and post-disaster relief and reconstruction funding.
SEADRIF was established in 2018 by ASEAN+3 countries, comprising Southeast Asian countries plus China, Japan and the Republic of Korea. It has financial support from donor partners, technical support from the World Bank Group, and administrative support from the ASEAN Secretariat in partnership with regional and other institutions.
