SEADRIF was pleased to participate in the ASEAN Insurance Congress in Siem Reap, Cambodia, for the panel on “AI, Big Data, and the Next Frontier in Insurance,” organised by the Singapore College Of Insurance.

Ellen Yong, Chief Operating and Financial Officer of SEADRIF, took part in the panel alongside other insurance policy actors and practitioners across Asia, including Sainthan Satyamoorthy, Suy Channtharong, Andrew Harris, and moderator Shalini Pavithran. The discussion provided valuable insights on decision-relevant data for sovereign disaster risk financing, emphasizing the prioritization of operationally aligned data systems, transparent parametric design, and financial resilience frameworks that protect governments and communities from disaster-related fiscal shocks.
Key themes that emerged included the rising influence of AI-enabled analytics, the importance of decision-relevant data ecosystems, and the value of simple, transparent parametric insurance frameworks in enabling scalability, affordability, and stakeholder trust across public-sector applications.
SEADRIF values these meaningful exchanges across the region and looks forward to continued collaboration to strengthen financial resilience and tackle disaster risk financing effectively.
