SEADRIF was honoured to share regional experiences on disaster risk financing at the MFA-SCP Singapore-UNDRR Joint Training Programme: Understanding Risk Management and Risk Financing for Disaster Resilience, held from 27–31 October in Singapore.

Organised by the Civil Service College (CSC) and the United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR), the five-day program brought together mid- to senior-level government officials from around the world to strengthen understanding of disaster risk management and financing for resilience.

During the session on “Pre-arranged Financing for Disaster Response and Rehabilitation to Members – SEADRIF,” Ellen Yong, SEADRIF’s Chief Operating and Financial Officer, shared insights on how pre-arranged financing can turn reaction into readiness — enabling faster, more predictable, and coordinated responses when disasters strike.

We thank the organizers and participants for their engagement and sharing of country experiences.

SEADRIF remains committed to helping governments across ASEAN plan and finance ahead, enabling them to recover faster and build greater resilience.
