Ms. Hien Anh Than, Board Director of SEADRIF Insurance Company, spoke at the 10th Anniversary of the ASEAN Climate Resilience Network ASEAN-CRN and the Regional Masterclass Workshop on climate-smart agriculture investments and policy implementation in Southeast Asia.
Representing SEADRIF, Ms. Than, along with Mr. Janek Toepper from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations ( FAO), led discussions on progress and options for establishing the Agriculture Risk Finance Facility (ARFF) and its expected benefits. Representatives from six ASEAN countries and regional stakeholders provided feedback and guidance for future development, agreeing to further explore and develop the ARFF as a mechanism to enhance climate resilience.
The ASEAN-CRN event celebrated a decade of advancing sustainable agrifood transformation in response to climate change. Hosted by Thailand’s Department of Agriculture (DOA) and held in Chiang Mai from January 22-24, 2025, the event was co-organized by the FAO and the Mekong Institute (MI), in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, Winrock International, and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI).
