Ms. Than brings a wealth of board governance and executive management experience in the financial and insurance sectors to the SEADRIF Insurance Company.
In her most recent appointment, Hien Anh was on the Board of Directors at Baoviet Holdings (BVH), Vietnam's largest financial conglomerate, and Chair of the Board of Bao Viet Life. She was also the Vice Chairperson and Head of Life Insurance at the Insurance Association of Vietnam (IAV) since 2015 where she represented IAV at ASEAN Annual Insurance Summits and ASEAN Insurance Council Meetings.
Over the last 27 years, Hien Anh has built a prominent career in the Vietnamese financial services industry, including general insurance, life insurance, and asset management. She has held multiple senior positions, including Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Baoviet Life, Chair of the Board of Tokio Marine Bao Viet Joint Venture, as well as Baoviet Holdings Group Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and Chief Risk Officer (CRO). In these roles she has led the development and implementation of numerous transformation projects and strategic partnerships. Hien Anh began her career in 1996 as a Fire and Property insurance underwriter at Vietnam National Reinsurance Company.
Hien Anh is a Chevening Scholar with an MBA from the University of Birmingham, UK. She graduated from the National Economics University of Hanoi with a bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance. She holds a Diploma in Insurance from the National Insurance School of France (l’ENASS). Hien Anh is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia (FINSIA) and is currently pursuing a program at the Chartered Banker Institute in Green and Sustainable Finance.
With Hien Anh’s accomplishments and experiences in the ASEAN region, she will partner with Mr. Yoshihiro Kawai, Board Chair of the SEADRIF Insurance Company, to elevate the SEADRIF Insurance Company to the next level of growth and fulfill its mission of strengthening the financial resilience of ASEAN member states against climate shocks and disasters.
