SEADRIF is pleased to welcome Dr. Leow Yung Khee as a member of the SEADRIF Insurance Company Board of Directors. A trained medical doctor who has extended her expertise into the insurance and regulatory domains, Dr. Leow currently serves as Senior Medical Advisor at Singlife.

Dr. Leow previously served as a Director at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), where she specialised in health insurance and worked closely with ministries and public-private partners. She led the team that developed Singapore’s health insurance regulatory framework, which underpins national initiatives such as MediShield Life and CareShield Life. Her work also encompassed policy formulation and supervisory responsibilities across the life, general, and reinsurance sectors. During her tenure at MAS, she contributed to Asia and ASEAN regional regulatory and insurance policy initiatives aimed at strengthening capacity and encouraging innovation in public-private collaboration — experience that directly aligns with SEADRIF’s regional mandate and partnership-driven operating model.

A committed advocate for professional development, Dr. Leow was conferred the IBF Fellow award in 2016 by the Institute of Banking and Finance Singapore, recognising her leadership and contributions to the industry. She has held multiple senior positions in two major Singapore insurers, including Head of Group Insurance, Head of General Insurance, and Head of New Business and Claims.

“SEADRIF’s mission of regional collaboration to protect lives and safeguarding livelihoods of the people when faced with natural disasters resonate with my personal values. It is an honor and privilege to serve this cause," Dr. Leow said.

Dr. Leow’s extensive regulatory and insurance-sector experience will bring valuable perspectives to SEADRIF’s efforts to advance resilient disaster risk financing solutions for ASEAN member countries. We warmly welcome her to the SEADRIF Board.
