SEADRIF is a Singapore based, MAS-regulated insurer owned by ASEAN+3 governments. We sit at the intersection of sovereign finance, climate risk and insurance markets, building the financial infrastructure that lets governments protect their economies before disaster strikes, not after. We are small, serious, and building something that has not been built before.
We are looking for someone to help us rethink how we work.
Not digitise what we already do. Find where human time goes on work a well-designed system should handle, and fix it. Start by looking at how a lean team runs complex programs with governments across ASEAN, and ask the right questions before touching anything. Then build fast.
We want to embed AI and technology into the real workflows of an institution doing consequential work, not as a feature, but as infrastructure. In practice that covers two things. First, the workflows: how we prepare briefings and decks, run outreach to members and partners, report to donors and the Board, and capture knowledge that now sits in individual inboxes. Second, the technology underneath them: setting up enterprise AI the whole team uses, and owning how SEADRIF’s systems fit together, including working with our managed IT and security provider.
The measure of success is simple: does our team spend more time on what only they can do?
You are not handed a spec. You observe, we discuss, you build. You are probably more comfortable doing than presenting. Bad processes irritate you. You have already made something work that was not working before, with whatever tools you had. You follow what AI can actually do now, not what the press release says. You use what already works elsewhere before building something new.
You have built inside environments where you could not just release something and see what happens: a regulated financial institution, a government system, somewhere that data leaving the building is a serious event. Financial services or insurance experience helps; but you do not need to be an insurance specialist. You know the difference between a constraint that protects something and one that is just habit, and you push hard on the second while respecting the first. We do not need you to ask permission to think. But we are also not a place where you wire company data into a consumer AI tool in an afternoon without careful consideration and tell us afterwards.
We run on Microsoft’s enterprise stack and are building an institutional operating system on Airtable. What you add on top is partly up to you, within the security requirements of a regulated insurer. Whatever you build has to outlive your involvement: documented, built on tools we already license where possible, and easy for a competent engineer to pick up cold.
This is not a support role and not a strategy role. What you build will be used immediately by people doing work that matters. We do not care about years of experience or which tools you know. Convince us with your vision for what you would do here, how much of it you would take on, and that you can deliver it
