We’re delighted to welcome Micaela Agoncillo to SEADRIF!

Micaela is a strategic communications professional with experience across climate resilience, gender equality, and high-impact development initiatives. At SEADRIF, she will support strategic communications that help translate complex technical work into clear, accessible messages for partners and stakeholders.

Prior to joining SEADRIF, Micaela worked with the Asian Development Bank, where she led communications for a regional initiative focused on strengthening women’s resilience to extreme heat. Her work centered on translating research and policy into engaging communications and supporting knowledge sharing with governments and development partners.

Micaela has also worked across the social enterprise and nonprofit sectors, including at Plastic Credit Exchange, where she led communications and partnerships around plastic responsibility, and at HOPE — the Philippines’ first certified B Corp — supporting initiatives across public school infrastructure, agricultural livelihoods, and environmental action.

Micaela’s passion for using communications to advance inclusive, climate-resilient development aligns strongly with SEADRIF’s mission to strengthen financial resilience to climate and disaster risks across the region. Her experience will help ensure SEADRIF’s work reaches the right audiences with clarity and impact.
